ON STAGE

2012_0125_Jan_GREELEYCO_Dave_rabbitiltsmileIn 2011, Rabbi Sol Solomon and playwright David Lefkowitz created the stage show, SHALOM DAMMIT! AN EVENING WITH RABBI SOL SOLOMON.

A lighthearted look at modern Jewish-American life in story and song, the show was developed and first performed at the University of Northern Colorado, then workshopped at NYC’s Richmond Shepard Theater, followed by performances at  NYC’s Roy Arias Theater, and then triumphantly returned to Colorado in a revised, one-act format. The later versions all feature musician Richard Shore as music director and keyboardist.

On Aug. 8, 2019, the next step of the show’s journey began with an invited industry reading of SHALOM DAMMIT! at the Dramatists Guild Foundation in Manhattan. Angie Kristic served as the reading’s director.

The first, longer version of SHALOM DAMMIT! was captured on video at the Richmond Shepard Theater in summer 2012.
